Item no.1 = Tech item

Presenter = Gary Kalbfleisch

Details = A few more equipments and expenses had been included into the budget, which previously were unaccounted for. This new version will better reflect the TRC budget to avoid confusion.

General comments/suggestion = none

Item no.2 = Student computer lab replacement

Presenter = Ellen Gottas

Details = Due to the latest mass failure(a total of 55) in the computer lab due to manufacturer's hardware fraud, It is up to TRC to find a realistic solution in order to prevent similar events in the future.

General comments/suggestion = After much consideration, TRC feels strongly about not replacing current computers in the lab based on a few different factors. Firstly, there is still a 2 years warrantee on the equipments. Secondly, the manufacturer(Dell) who was responsible for supplying SCC with desktops provided back up motherboards(as part of warranty, free of charge)  in case of another malfunction. Lastly, experienced mechanics believe that with proper performance optimization as well as maintenance, these PCs can last another year. It is also noted that TRC is trying not to discrupt the replacement cycle. In conclusion, the campus willl stick with current equipments for now.

Item no.3 = Technology fee fund agreement(under revision)

Presenter = Joice Pratana

Details = We are moving closer to a solid version of the agreement that would be ready to be presented to the parliament for approval and implementation.

General comments/suggestion = Section 4 of the agreement, which talks about the purposes, composition and structure of TRC, needs to be rewritten to accurately portray the committee's goals and expectation. Another suggestion was included in the draft. In case where student's needs were met and excessive equipments happen to be unused by the student body(not funds, "equipments"), these resources may then be relocated to benefit administrative offices.
