The Multicultural Center will bring a groups of students to attend the very popular and much anticipated 23rd Annual Students of Color Conference – Awakening Your Inner Scholar: Legacy, Resilience, Action!  The conference will be held in Yakima, WA from Thursday, April 11th through Saturday, April 13th.

The Annual Students of Color Conference (sponsored by the Washington State Multicultural Student Services Directors Council) brings together over 700 students from colleges throughout the state.  This conference is a great opportunity for students to develop critical leadership skills, increase their knowledge base and grow their network of contacts.

 

The conference is guided by five main concurrently educational themes:

  • Identity Development
  • Awareness of Others
  • Skills Development
  • Social Justice and Social Activism
  • Personal Development
